Edit: Ja wirklich

Keine Ahnung was da mittlerweile an Zwangsdatenübertragung an Google drinsteckt.

On March 31, Messages will stop working on uncertified devices, including this one.

Google Messages will stop working on uncertified Android phones in April

https://github.com/termux/termux-packages/wiki/Termux-and-Android-10
https://www.xda-developers.com/termux-terminal-linux-google-play-updates-stopped/
Untrusted apps that target Android 10 cannot invoke exec() on files within the app's home directory. This execution of files from the writable app home directory is a W^X violation. Apps should load only the binary code that's embedded within an app's APK file.
Please note that users of Android 10 may face these restrictions:

  • On certain devices Termux will not start shell. Workaround is to set SELinux to permissive mode - only possible on rooted devices.
  • Access to /proc/net is restricted. As result netstat and other utilities using data from this interface does not work anymore. On rooted devices run these utilities as superuser to get them working again.
People using Android 11 may experience more issues, for example some utilities are being terminated by file descriptor sanitizer.

I have just submitted 721 a Fennec update to 81.1.1. Should be available soon™. This version brings a lot of changes, like a new UI and modular codebase. The bad news:
  • Mozilla now tracks you even more actively using proprietary 3rd party services. I removed all tracking I found. (Firebase, Adjust and Leanplum libraries were replaced with stubs, so some analyzers can erroneously report their presence in the APK.)
  • The new UI may break your habits and disappoint you. (IMHO it’s not that bad as one can conclude from reading r/Firefox.)
  • Android 5.0 or later is now required. Mozilla decided so.
  • x86 devices are not supported anymore. I stumbled upon linkage errors and gave up. Help is welcome.
The good news is that Fennec F-Droid is alive and continues to be truly free software.
https://forum.f-droid.org/t/welcome-a-new-fennec-f-droid/11113

Verstecktes Anti-Feature in Android 11:

:nogo: ~fu~

According to this message, an integrity check of the Google Camera installation failed because the “INSTALLER_NAME” did not match “com.android.vending”, the package name for the Google Play Store. (I was attempting to install Google Camera 8.0 using the APKMirror Installer app, for what it’s worth.) This message was added to the system log by “AppIntegrityManagerServiceImpl“, which is part of Android’s new “App Integrity” feature. According to the code in AOSP, App Integrity is designed to provide an additional layer of checks on top of the package manager’s existing APK signature verification. The App Integrity API seems to use a set of Rules to decide whether or not to allow or deny the install. Rules are provided by a system app — which we believe to be Google Play Services — and are stored in a file.

In addition, App Integrity also calls another class called SourceStampVerifier if a “source stamp” is embedded in the Manifest’s metadata. For example, here’s what we believe is the “source stamp” from the Google Camera app’s Manifest:

This may be our first look at Android 12, Google’s next Android OS

The number of Quick Settings tiles that are shown when the notification panel is partially expanded has been reduced from 6 to 4, causing each icon to become larger.

the rounded corners of each notification are now more pronounced.
~fu~

Also das VR Ding.
The death of Daydream is now a reality, as Google has flipped the switch on its servers. Users are reporting the app can't connect to the Play Store anymore, meaning people can't download or update games or apps. For the time being, existing Daydream apps seem to continue working if they've been installed previously, but Google may soon take a final step to remove them entirely, rendering its VR solution useless.

Unfortunately, come November, Dolphin will be forced to use the Storage Access Framework and that means that there are going to be some changes.
kompliziert
On top of being hard to implement, especially for a C++ application like Dolphin, the Storage Access Framework API is extremely slow.
Its shortcomings aren't just apparent to us, either. Slow performance in file access is extremely frustrating, but that is at least limited to first opening a file. Gamelist loading times have been increased by more than tenfold in our testing, but this does not actually affect emulation performance.
For our Android TV users, the news is even better. While the file picker works on some devices, the folder picker that most apps do not use is completely busted across everything. Dolphin uses the folder picker in order to select game directories. Because it's completely broken, Android TV devices running Android 11 cannot use Dolphin's gamelist functionality whatsoever.
For devices like the Shield TV that still run a maximum of Android 9, Dolphin's gamelist will continue to work normally unless they update to Android 11. At that point, it would be out of our hands.
https://dolphin-emu.org/blog/2021/02/11/dolphin-progress-report-december-2020-and-january-2021/
