Ist da was dran? Ist von Reddit.

If you are a competitive gamer and all you care about winning, hdmi 2.1 is a must. If you are a casual gamer or play story based games mostly, just run the 30 fps or 60 fps 'quality modes' and stop worrying :). It doesn't get much better than a solid 60 fps.

On the internet people are giving hdmi 2.1 way too much importance. For instance, hdmi 2.1 sets are apparently 'ps5 ready'. As if you are not ready for ps5 without hdmi 2.1; what a joke. The ps5 games with the highest graphical fidelity will be running at 30 fps. Spiderman 'performance mode' runs at 60 fps. Going above 60 fps is just a waste of gpu resources unless you play competitively.

Anyway, hdmi 2.1 a polarizing topic. Different people, different priorities and opinions. Just make sure you don't jump on hdmi 2.1 just because of the fear of missing out on something or 'future proofing'; it's a bunch of hot air. 120 fps is slightly better than 60 fps, but its not night and day. VRR is useful to reduce latency mostly. If you wouldnt know about it; you wouldnt be missing it.

IMO, just you can't go wrong with the XH95. You always have the option to run it on 1080p 120Hz mode, just in case you would want 120 fps. As you mentioned already; the consoles will have to reduce graphical quality to reach 120 fps, and you likely wont be giving up much at 1080p output. Most important, the XH95 offers stellar PQ, and (HDR) games will look awesome on it. HDR PQ will also contribute to a 'ps5 ready' tv. Gaming on the XH95 will be better than on a tv with hdmi 2.1 but mediocre PQ.

Just my two cents, careful for the hype
