Noch ein Schritt davon entfernt, dass die normalen "Bookmarks" im Browser auch irgendwann "moderiert" werden.

Erinnert mich auch an den Fall, als jemand harmlose Urlaubsfotos mit der Familie und den Kindern automatisch auf OneDrive synchronisiert wurden (ist natürlich opt out) und dann bei MS der KiPo-Filter automatisch das Konto gesperrt hatte und eine Ermittlung eingeleitet wurde.

Da gab es auch mal den Fall das jemand von seinem Kind ein Foto gemacht hat um einen Ausschlag festzuhalten und dem Doktor das Foto zu schicken für einen Rat. Der Account wurde auch gelöscht.

Kinderpornographie ist schlimm, aber vielleicht sollte man irgendwie noch ein Maß finden. Denn in der heutigen Zeit ist es durchaus schlimm so einen Account zu verlieren. Plötzlich verliert man Zugriff auf Jahrzehnte von Familienfotos auf Google Fotos, seine Geschäfts E-Mails und wer weiß was noch. Das sowas dann für immer weg ist weil eine KI einen Fehler gemacht hat, ist schon hart und als Betroffener hat man keine Chance.

Das ist durchaus richtig. Nur heute ist ja alles vernetzt, alles wird automatisch gesichert. Du hast es vielleicht gar nicht so vor gehabt, aber bevor du reagieren kannst, ist es schon in der Cloud.

Nennt mich Old School, aber genau deswegen werden vorher ALLE Settings gecheckt, bevor ich ein Gerät verwende. Ich lade keine Familienfotos etc. in die Cloud. Und wenn es doch sein muss, dann komprimiert und irgendwie geschützt (Passwort, Verschlüsselung).

Und eine entsprechende Backup-Strategie schadet ebenfalls nie...

Achtung, Google Drive Nutzer berichten das sie ihre Daten verlieren und manche nur einen Stand von Mai 2023 sehen.

Das wäre so ziemlich das worst case Szenario für Google, wenn sie die eine Sache verkacken, die sie machen sollen.

Sowas ist halt immer das Problem an der Cloud. Backups schaden nie

Cloud Plugin: Information about Google Drive

Unfortunately, access to Google Drive will no longer be possible with the cloud plugin after February 15, 2024 because Google suddenly changed the rules after almost 10 years:

Google now requires a security assessment following the extremely strict OWASP standard for all programs and Web services wanting to access all of a user's files on Google Drive. Unfortunately it is impossible for a plugin to follow these rules:

1. Plugins as such cannot be certified, only applications. Google Drive access would have to be built directly into Total Commander.
2. OWASP requires to follow very specific rules when developing a program. It cannot be applied to an existing program, so Total Commander would have to be rebuilt from scratch. This is completely impossible within a reasonable time frame.
3. OWASP rules are very strict, so Total Commander would no longer be able to use third party plugins.
4. The security assessment would have to be performed by a specialized company, and costs up to $75'000 per year and program (so $150'000 for 32bit+64-bit). This is not sustainable even with a subscription.
