Got to love it when someone breaks the embargo :)

Will have all the info for you in due course.
Yes, PC as lead platform for us (it's not a PC port as some have said).

Next-gen GRID will come in time, we're not going to rush that and get a game that can only run at 720/30 or something similar, next gen has to look and feel like 'next gen' for us.

On release of GRID 2, I think it’s fair to say that through listening to you guys and a after a substantial amount of reflection, we hadn’t quite achieved everything we set out to do. We’re proud of the game, really delighted with some of the great reviews for it, but we’re not above admitting that we made a few decisions that perhaps we shouldn’t have, and perhaps moved some of the aspects of the game too far away from our core fanbase.

When you’re making games, you always have to make choices – which features to include, what emphasis to put on various aspects of gameplay – even if we had unlimited resources (we don’t by the way!) there’s always people who are going to be disappointed. And we’re obviously aware, that some of you were. We’re not ok with that.
...
If GRID 2 raced off into a more narrative-led world of racing with more accessible controls, it’s clear that for many of you, that wasn’t what you wanted or expected from GRID 2. So with GRID Autosport we had the opportunity to make a much more focussed motorsport game, a desire that many of you have expressed directly to us, and a game that in spirit goes back to some of our earlier titles in terms of content and handling.
...
For GRID Autosport we’ve gone back to a more authentic handling style. It’s definitely not a full simulation – we want it to be authentic, not clinical – but it’s more towards that end of the spectrum than before. If anything, we believe the handling is actually one or two steps further towards simulation than Race Driver: GRID, to give you an idea.
...
For instance, in Touring Cars it’s all about aggressive pack racing. You’ll have to manage tyre wear and race into the night in Endurance competitions but look to race smoothly and with precision in our Open-Wheel races.
...
Touring Cars, GT, Single-Seaters, Muscle Cars, Drift, Supercars, Hypercars, Time Attack, Prototypes and many, many more.
...
Racing with a teammate is back and at your request he/she will now attack the cars ahead or defend their position. All this is handled by a simple button press on the controller and it’s a feature that will also allow you to request information from your team engineer.
...
you’ll be presented with a number of pre-race options, such as practice and qualifying.
...
The paddock will also allow you to tune your car before the race. Tuneable components include: brake bias, differential, downforce, gears, ride height and suspension at both the front and back.
...

TL: DR – Yes, we have an in-car view, two in fact.

Mehr Simulation als Grid 1, aber keine Full Simulation. Reifenverbrauch, Ausdauer, Qualifikation

A lot of work gone into our PC version, a port it most definitely isn't.

4K Textures are a PC only feature btw.

@Hasney - Demo Derby is in from the start for AUtosport.

Regarding next-gen, ultimately it comes down to a few things.

The first is that we genuinely want our first next gen outing to be something really great, we don't want to have to rush and only put out a handful of tracks. We've got 22 locations in Autosport, the bulk of those are real world circuits, would all those have made it if we were to support next gen? Doubtful.

Secondly, we're working our tech for next-gen now, as such, we're not quite ready. Again, we don't want to rush :)

Thirdly, after GRID 2 we sort of had something to prove, we wanted to leave the 'old gen' with a bit of a bang so to speak.
There are some BTCC cars (and tracks) in the game, along with a lot of other cars from other real world series. Unfortunately the reality is now that if you want a licensed game then you're only ever going to have that one license.

We'd love to have the full licenses for BTCC, DTM and more all in one game but it just wouldn't be possible.

From a content side we simply wouldn't have the resource to officially replicate all these series to replicate the real world.
everything you've seen so far is actual PC gameplay. Should be our best looking PC game to date.
No pit stops sadly, we would have loved to do it but it just didn't make it in.
Damage model has improved, especially in terms of mechanical damage (things going wrong with the car), losing gears etc.

Cockpitansicht ist sehr basic. Wenig Details, keine funktionierenden Anzeigen

I completely understand that people have spent a lot of money on next-generation consoles and want games on those platforms, and it’s great to see so many people wanting a next-gen Codemasters Racing title. Obviously we didn't make this decision recently – we decided to do one more GRID game with our existing technology last year, after we shipped GRID2, knowing full well that would mean we’d only have the time to support PC, PS3 and Xbox360. That said, we were also confident that millions of people would still own these platforms during this transition phase, and would still want to buy games for them. Also a lot (but sadly not all) of our community would also still have these platforms during our target of summer '14.

It all comes down to timing for us. I think the common misconception is that because there are a few similarities with regular PC hardware and architectures, that a port is “free”, like you press a button and out pops a console version! In reality, you’re rebuilding huge amounts of software, fundamental to your game engine, to work differently and think differently. Features like rapid loading, social features, cloud support and so on aren’t something you can tack on – you have to build your game around them.

If you look at our back-catalogue, we've never rushed onto the new hardware, but when we have arrived we've made something genuinely not possible before. GRID's a great example, arriving a fair time after the launch of Xbox 360 and PS3, but when it arrived, we did it right and really moved the genre forwards. Conversely, we were still supporting the previous generation with TOCA Race Driver 3 late into the Xbox and PlayStation 2's lifespan.

What's been great from a game development perspective is that having the team and the engine in place meant that the game's development absolutely flew by. The team have loved making an authentic racing game again, and the game has been the product of hundreds of little improvements from the team, the community, professional drivers and AUTOSPORT magazine.
GRID Autosport screenshot
For 360 and PS3, we’ve focussed on squeezing every last drop of performance out of them, re-introducing in-car views and pushing the grid sizes up to 16 cars on track, as well as reworking the lighting direction for the game. Obviously the PC benefits directly from all of these improvements as well.
Thanks to RaceNet, we've been able to build a new feature – RaceNet clubs – for GRID Autosport. This is something our fans have been asking for ever since we announced RaceNet, so it's great to finally deliver this. With RaceNet clubs, you can team up with up to one hundred other players on RaceNet and create your club, creating a name and a custom clan-tag. Then, from the game, you can upload a club livery to RaceNet. When members of the team race in their livery online, they score points for their club. Clubs can then compare performance with other clubs online, via RaceNet. As this is a RaceNet feature, it’ll be something we can continue to develop and even incorporate into other Codemasters Racing games, potentially.
