Disgaea 4 Return Reaches PlayStation Vita In January 2014

Disgaea 4 Return has a release date in Japan, this week’s issue of Famitsu reveals. The PlayStation Vita port of Disgaea 4 will be released on January 30th, 2014. The game will cost 6,279 yen when it is released. A trailer for Disgaea 4 Return will be shared by Nippon Ichi tomorrow.

NIS America will release a port of Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten for PlayStation Vita on January 30, 2014. This teaser trailer doesn’t tell us much other than this has the most volume of content in the series history. We’ll have to wait to find out what’s new, but just for reference Disgaea 3 for Vita added all of the DLC episodes plus additional storylines. Disgaea 4 Return pre-orders include a Disgaea Vocal Song Best (presumably a CD) as a bonus.

Disgaea 4 Return Has New Spells Like Peta Star And A New Storyline With "That Scene"

Disgaea 4 Return is an enhanced version of Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten with all of the downloadable content included with the game.
What else is new for Vita?


The game will have new skills and spell. Screenshots show Peta Star, a tier above Tera Star, is one of the new elements. That probably means Disgaea 4 Return will have sixth tier magic for all of the usual spells. Disgaea 4 Return will also have additional storylines that focus on individual characters and Dengeki Online teases "that scene" pictured above is a must see for Disgaea fans.

Nippon Ichi Software’s first trailer for Disgaea 4 Return shows all of the stuff in the PlayStation Vita port. On top of the PlayStation 3 game, Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten with patch 1.30, you get downloadable scenarios like The Fuka & Desco Show and The Flashback Episode. Over 50 downloadable characters, scenarios, and system tweaks are in Disgeaea 4 Return. That’s nice, but we’re still waiting for more information about the new storyline NIS keeps teasing with Valvatorez and Sister Artina.

Ein neuer Chara ist zu sehen unter Flonne. Wird wohl im neuen Story Szenario ne Rolle spielen denke ich.
Freue mich schon total drauf. Hab damals absichtlich nachdem ich bei D4 mit der Story durch war aufgehört zu spielen, weil ich wusste das die Vita GotY Version einfach nur Fett wird

Disgaea 4 Return Has A Time Loop Scenario And A New Character

Dengeki PlayStation reports the new storyline in Disgaea 4 Return is the Time Loop chapter. This story will have a new character, Nagi Clockwork, too.

Disgaea 4 Return is an enhanced port of the Vita game and includes all of the DLC from the PlayStation 3 version. Nippon Ichi Software has the game slated for release on January 30, 2014 in Japan.

Meet Disgaea 4 Return’s New Character Nagi Clockwork

Fuka and Desco will go time travelling in Disgaea 4 Return. A new Time Leap storyline just for the Vita game brings the two characters back to when Sister Artnia meets Valvatorez.

Nagi Clockwork is a new character players will run into in the Time Leap story. She’s a mechanic that holds the key to the story. Burdened by her past, Nagi uses her mechanic skills to put an end to the war.

Sister Artnia is a playable character too. One of her skills is a holy barrier that recovers all characters within a specific range.
Disgaea 4 Return also has new peta tier spells like Peta Heal, which are the most powerful spells in the game.


Disgaea 4 Return comes out on January 30, 2014 for PlayStation Vita.

According to Dengeki Online, you can unlock both Stella and Rutile on Disgaea 4 Return if you have a save data of Disgaea 3 Return on the same memory card.

The Cheat Shop from Disgaea D2 is a new feature in Disgaea 4 Return.
Players will also be able to change their weapon’s appearance and bribe the Dark Senate. Both of these features are also from Disgaea D2.

The event viewer and Innocent storage system from Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention are in Disgaea 4 Return.

If you have a save file from Disgaea 3 for Vita on your memory card you’ll get the two bonus characters, Rutile and Stella Grossular.

Fuck yeah der Cheat shop war das geilste neue Gameplay Element aus D2. Freue mich wirklich sehr das es nun auch in D4 Return ist.
Die Innocent Storage Funktion ist natürlich auch nicht zu verachten^^

The popular strategy-RPG Disgaea 4 is officially coming to PS Vita. NIS has announced that the handheld version of Disgaea 4 – A Promise Revisited – will launch in North America and Europe this summer.
Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten originally came to PlayStation 3 in 2011. We loved it. The Vita iteration launched in Japan earlier this year, and is essentially a mildly-updated port of the original.

Specifically, A Promise Revisited has “brand-new scenarios” that brings “more backstory” to some of the game’s cast. Additionally, there are new characters “as well as cameo appearances by characters from previous Disgaea games,” new spells, techniques, and more, and all of the downloadable content that was available for the PS3 iteration.
