Nachdem die “Mortal Kombat”-Reihe in die Hände von Warner Bros. Pictures kam, sollte sich was tun. Die Reihe sollte sich wieder auf die Anfänge besinnen und das machen, was die Fans sehen wollen: Viel Rot und böse Fatalities.

Wie trmk herausgefunden haben will, soll der neunte Teil der Prügel-Serie pünktlich zum Weihnachtsfest diesen Jahres auf dem Gabentisch stehen. Ed Boon, einer von zwei “Mortal Kombat”-Erschaffern von 1992, ist auch bei Warner Bros. mit an der Entwicklung beteiligt.

Zur Zeit ist noch ein anderes Gerücht in Umlauf, das besagt, dass ein Remake des “Mortal Kombat”-Films von 1995 geplant sei. Das Drehbuch soll von Oren Uziel geschrieben werden.

ich denke nicht das er nen witz gerissen hat.

Publisher to make own 'direct attack' on footy champs, claims report

Ubisoft is set to release its own football sim - and not just another Pele Wii game, but a 'direct attack' on genre titans FIFA and PES.

That's according to a report on usually reliable French site, Jeux Video, which claims that Ubisoft has been working with "several English clubs" including Liverpool and its captain, Steven Gerrard to develop the game.

What's more, Ubisoft's footy game is said to be due for release at the end of this year.

Nothing's official of course - and we're awaiting comment from Ubisoft - but boss Yves Guillemot has expressed his intent to break into the sports market in the past.

"The sports genre is different - there are lots of good elements there because it is more casual, so it would bring new customers to Ubisoft. So we have something to grow there, and that's what we are doing," he said in 2008.

Is there really room for a third big footy game on the market? With PES floundering a little in recent years there's certainly the possibility of a new contender swooping in to nick the 'unofficial' spot.

But whatever happens, the increased competition can only be good news for gamers and we look forward to seeing what the French publisher can come up with... if it is indeed working on something.

Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City erscheint für die PS3 | Teil 2

Gestern tauchte im Internet beim Händler simplygames die DLC-Sammlung “Episodes from Liberty City” für Grand Theft Auto 4 auf. Bisher waren die zwei Episoden The Ballad of Gay Tony” und ”The Lost and The Damned” 360 Exklusiv und nun sollten sie auch für die PS3 veröffentlicht werden?
Inzwischen entfernte simplygames doe PS3-Version von “Episodes from Liberty City” wieder aus dem Sortiment. Rockstar selbst wollte “Gerüchte aus dem Internet nicht kommentieren”. So bleibt noch eine Chance: Den Händler selbst mal fragen.
Erstaunlich war dann die Antwort, dass eigentlich alles seine Richtigkeit hat. Leider waren sie dazu gezwungen, das Angebot wieder zu entfernen:

Ich sag doch die ganze Zeit das es kommen wird. Nur noch warten bis die Zeitexklusivität für die 360 rum ist, dann werden beide Addons für PS3 und PC erscheinen. Schade nur um die 50 Mio die MS in den Sand gesetzt hat.

waren das eigentlich alle dlc für gta? oder kommt noch was? ich meine es war mal von 3 stück die rede... gibts durch die dlc eigentlich neue autos und kleidung? muss irgentwie mein virtuelles geld ausgeben können das ist ein punkt der mir bei gta iv auf den sack ging ... unendlich kohle.. aber nix zu kaufen

Erscheint Vanquish nur für die PS3?!?

Kürzlich stellte Platinum Games ihr neuestes Werk, einen SciFi-Shooter namens “Vanquish” vor (hier gehts zum Trailer). Bei der Ankündigung wurde allerdings leider “vergessen”, für welche Plattformen das Spiel überhaupt erscheinen soll…
Drehen wir nun die Zeit etwas zurück…
Kann sich jemand noch an das ins Internet gerutschte Dokument erinnern, in dem es unter anderem um alte PS2-Spiele, aber auch um zukünftige Kooperationen zwischen Sony und SEGA gab?
In dem Dokument heißt es:

Vanquish and Aliens: CM
• Opportunity for PS3/PSP interoperability (see Eidos Batman, Army of Two, Assassin’s Creed for good examples).
• If we offer that SCEA would be really interested in having us at their booth next E3.

Natürlich muss das jetzt nicht heißen, dass Vanquish ausschließlich für die PS3 erscheinen muss, wäre aber mal wieder eine feine Sache. Warten wir doch einfach mal eine offizielle Ankündigung mit weiteren Details ab…

das spiel wurde auf gt vorgestellt. ihr wisst schon, die micocksoft lutschende fansite. das spiel erscheint nie im leben ps3 exklusiv.

SCEE: GT5 launching “this fall”

Sony Computer Entertainment Portugal boss James Armstrong has said Gran Turismo 5 will be releasing “this fall,” although a final timing has “not yet decided”.

Armstrong was speaking in an interview with Canarias Al Dia (via GT Planet).

The news will come as a blow to many, especially considering that Polyphony boss Kazunori Yamauchi said recently that the long-awaited the racer is 90 percent finished.

“We believe that launching the product this fall, before Christmas, but not yet decided,” he said, in what looks to be a fairly sketchy translation.

“I do not rule that uses the MC but I doubt it. GT 5 is a great hope for Sony, a very important game for the company, which generates much income.”

This is getting kind of ridiculous. Yamauchi said at E3 last year, that the game was basically finished.

A brochure from gamescom last August said put it down for a “quarter 4 2009″ release.

It never happened. The game was moved into 2010, with a March release for Japan.
That date has since been put back.

As for a western release, the last we heard was summer from SCEA.

SCEE said after the delay of GT5 in Japan a date for Europe will be announced “in due course.”
