Also ich nehme mal an, erste Infos werden schon rausgegeben, wenn die CES noch am laufen ist, denn einige findige Leute werden sicherlich schon die ersten Infos während dessen rausgeben... aber etwas offizielles wird natürlich erst NACH der CES durch eine PK oder eine Mitteilung seitens Sony rausgegeben.

Achso, ich dachte die PK würde vor der eigentlichen Messe stattfinden, wie bei der E3.

So ich hab da mal was zu den dev Kits der Ps3 und zum RSX

und jetzt was zum RSX




Wenn ich mir die Grafik so anssehen, dann seh ich ne art Cell als RSX.

hier noch einmal die Cell Archtitektur

RSX = MultiCore?





Ich bin leider nen noob in dem gebiet, nur was sagt ihr zum RSX? scheinbar hat der RSX 6 SME (keine ahnung was das sein sollen) die den SPEs des Cells sehr ähnlich aussehen bzw alle sind mit 550Mgh getacktet.

Wenn mal jemand Ahnung hat, der soll mal was dazu sagen!

Synergistic Media Element (SME, aka visualizer) handles all vertex,shading, lighting(direct/indrect), shadow calculation

G70x, handles antialiasing, post process, motion blur.

Hmmm ja hofdentlich kommt das hin. Aber wie damals bei der PS2 kan es auch passieren, dass wir ein Jahr warten müssen... das würde dann bedeuten Mitte 2007... ich hoffe nur, dass Sony was an seiner Launch Politik geändert hat...

Bei der PS2 konnten sie es ja machen doch da hatten sie nicht die Xbox im Kreuz. Ich bin mir fast sicher das wir alle 2006 noch unsere PS3 in Händen halten !!

Sony PS3 delay is pure speculation

Speculations have hit the community over a Sony PlayStation 3 missed spring launch date.

About two months ago, we at GameSHOUT fell into the same speculation that the Sony PlayStation 3 would not be released until 2007. A few days later, Sony contacted GameSHOUT and told us that they were still on track for a Spring 2006 launch date.

As of this morning, January 3rd, 2006, Sony again informed GameSHOUT that the Sony PS3 will
be released in May 2006, and that the recent reports of a delay are pure "myths".

During the weekend, many sites and news agencies have reported that the Sony PlayStation 3 is full of bugs, and that the game machine is not ready for the Spring 2006 launch. However, please keep in mind that these are pure speculations.

Notice how much of the rumour is based on a "March 2006" launch. Sony never told us on what month the launch will occur.

Unless Sony says otherwise, don't take any notice to anyone else that's claiming to know the facts or the scoop. There are tons of people out there misleading the public. If there is a change in the Spring 2006 Sony PS3 launch, we'll know about it. Until then, be at ease that the Sony PlayStation 3 is on target for Spring 2006.

Well I jusrt called the Psychic Friends Network and heres what they told me to expect, in order of mention:
- Typical Sony 100 million around the world stuff
- How video games, ie Sony, are pushing the envelope of technology
- HD era Charts
- Finally Specs!! Starts with a chart
- Introduces CELL and RSX as something along the lines of "PS3's pillars?"
- Cell presentation showing its capabilities(think E3 only bigger) and also a hint of the PS3 OS
- RSX chart, specs have been boosted to more "suitable" tastes
- Video demonstrating RSX power. Some gasps.
- More RSX chatter
- Now game demos and trailers

After that my credit card was maxed out so I couldn't find out anymore. But she did say that the spirits tell her that the price will be a big shocker, but wont be revealed until the second week in February when the moon is in its 2nd phase.

edit- huh, i just realized that I live in las vegas, my aunt works for Hilton, and CES is in Las Vegas at the Hilton
