‘Tekken X Street Fighter’ Crossover Update: Release date set in next two years? Game's development team hard at work
"Tekken X Street Fighter" has been under development for a long time. While Bandai Namco is busy releasing their latest "Tekken 7", they have a reserved team who is focused in developing their cross-over game with Capcom.
Bandai Namco and Capcom announced last 2010 that their flagship fighting games, Tekken and Street Fighter, will have a crossover game. While Capcom already took off with the 2012 release of Street Fighter X Tekken, Bandai Namco is still developing their part, Tekken X Street Fighter.
Tekken Director Katsuhiro Harada has been developing several projects under his helm. These projects includes the upcoming "Tekken 7", the Pokemon crossover project "Pokken Tournament", the shooting game "Time Crisis 5", the controversial virtual reality game "Summer Lesson", and other smaller projects.
With all these game under his direction, game director Harada, may not have the time for "Tekken X Street Fighter". However, in one of his recent interviews, the director revealed some details in the development of the crossover fighting game. He said that "It's very difficult to talk about," revealing that "Obviously, I had originally planned to release it much earlier than we're currently looking at."
Reportedly, he wanted to make a "breathing room" between Capcom's release of "Street Fighter X Tekken" and Bandai Namco's part "Tekken X Street Fighter" in order to avoid confusion among the gamers. Additionally, Bandai Namco delayed "Tekken X Street Fighter" due to the over saturation of fighting games in the market and not because of the development of the game. In fact, there is a 40 man team working on the whole project. However, with the scheduled release for the latest installment in the Tekken franchise, Harada said that "Tekken 7 will be our big thing for the next while."
When Katsuhiro Harada was asked if "Tekken X Street Fighter" will be released in the next two years, he said that he cannot commit to a certain schedule. However he said that he wants the release to surprise the fans of the game. According to a report, he said that "People have been talking about the game for such a long time that they aren't going to be surprised if you just release it normally," he even joked that he may release it by simply announcing "Hey, you can play it tomorrow," like what they did with Tekken Revolution. In the end the game director said "I don't know if that's what we have planned, but we do plan to have some kind of surprise".
"Tekken X Street Fighter" may not have an official release date but there is an active development team who is working on it consistently under the direction of Katsuhiro Harada and they might surprise their fans on its release date.

So langsam könnte der Thread auch ins PS4 Forum verschoben werden.
Glaube das kommt nicht mehr für Ps 3:D

Tekken X Street Fighter Is Well Into Development, Says Harada
It was during theSan Diego Comic-Con five years ago that Tekken X Street Fighter was originally announced, and while we haven’t heard much about it since then, Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada shed some light on the matter during a Famitsu interview.

During the interview, Harada is jokingly asked whether Namco have forgotten about Tekken X Street Fighter.

“That’s not true! I’ve been saying this since before, but the fact of the matter is that we’re at a pretty far stage into its development,” responds the Tekken producer.

Harada’s been busy as of late, having been working on Tekken 7, Pokkén Tournament with the Pokémon Company, and even a virtual reality project called Summer Lesson for the PlayStation 4’s Project Morpheus.

In fact, it might seem like Harada has been too busy to work on Tekken X Street Fighter at all, but that isn’t necessarily the case.

“It might seem like we haven’t started on it at all, but the character lineup has been decided upon since a very long time ago, and we’ve already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems,” says Harada.

He also goes onto mention that we’re entering an age of Street Fighter V and Tekken 7, so there are likely some fans who might be wondering which one of the two they’d like to play. So the timing of released Tekken X Street Fighter is something they’re having a difficult time deciding on at the moment.

Bandai Namco still not sure about Tekken x Street Fighter release date
Tekken 7’s Senior Game Designer, Michael Murray, said in a recent interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine:

It’s still in development, but as far as a release window we haven’t really decided on that.

With Bandai Namco currently involved in Tekken 7, which is due to be released on the PlayStation 4, it remains to be seen when Tekken X Street Fighter will make it onto store shelves. For its part, Capcom has already released Street Fighter X Tekken for last-gen consoles.

I'm sorry, this is the second time* I've misled you by the way the subtitles were written and worded
(*Last time, We had another misunderstanding
--> )

About this case.
First of all, at around 21 minutes and 25 seconds, he says "今はとめてますよ(ima tomete masuyo)" which means "It’s pending state," similar to "pause" and This is the same word we have been talking about before.
So, "up to 30% of the development was in progress, but now it is still pending". This is still the status of the project.

Next we are talking about "Artist Collaboration" starting at minute 22. This is a story about how we had a famous artist draw a certain illustration for us during the development of TK x SF (TEKKEN also has illustrations in collaboration with famous artists, something like that). I say "Okura-iri ni nattan dayo na" in Japanese about this illustration collaboration.

For some reason, the meaning of the word "Okura-iri" is "Project died", but the original meaning of "Okura-iri" is "be shelved" or "put in storage".
Contracts with artists and collaborators outside of development are subject to terms and conditions, including duration, so we do not own the rights to them indefinitely.
So, this one has been put in storage for now.
You can see that the original Japanese and the English subtitles give a very different impression (so people who can hear Japanese are not particularly interested in this topic thing).

In any case, the status is not much different from the status I told you about before. Well, the fact that the status has not changed is not a nice thing for us and for you.

We are still hopeful that TKxSF will resume development when the opportunity arises. However, such a title cannot be moved just for the convenience of one company in terms of marketing and branding, and it also affects each other's development resources.
For now, we are just waiting for the right opportunity.
This is sometimes a problem because it is very difficult to translate, including my way of speaking, and also because it is impractical for me to do all the subtitle checking for this volume.
In this article, I am writing my own English, but I may have made some mistakes.
If there is anything you don't understand, let's talk again sometime.
