Played it for a few hours...here's my take so far.
Playing on a PS4 Pro.
Cons:
Worst screen tearing I've seen in a long time. It's near constant. Even in the Splash screen before the main menu, FFS!
FPS is pretty inconsistent. Serious drops in certain areas.
(Both these factors suggest that if some kind of V-sync was enabled the FPS would tank even more.)
It seems to be less than 1080p. Maybe 720? Looks less than say the 900p you get in Battlefield 4.
Has lots of shimmer and Lod pop-in.
I don't see anything that suggests there's any kind of PS4 Pro support whatsoever.
The game is ridiculously dark in certain places and not in a fun way. It's easy to lose your orientation completely.
Controls are a bit clunky but not a deal breaker.
Haven't had any crashes personally but the game doesn't exactly scream stability.
Pros:
Excellent sound design. Really really creepy and disturbing. The sound does more than the visuals to create the atmosphere.
Story is interesting so far. It's a bit overwrought in its delivery but enough to keep you progressing
Very nice art design. One of the best depictions of hell in any video game. Reminds me a bit of Doom but much more gory and depraved. Definitely inspired by Dante's Inferno (Not the video game version)
Enemy design is great. Very weird.
Gameplay wise it's pretty much standard survival horror with a few twists of its own. There are skills you can pick up like possessing other souls and such.
There's a procedurally generated mode which definitely gives the game some staying power.
The main issues for me are the screen tearing, low resolution/lack of AA, the darkness and overall performance. I think a Pro patch could do a lot to help it. AFAIK there is no optimisation for either the Pro or the 1x.
As it stands I'd definitely say to wait it out and see if gets patched for technical issues.
