Ach menno, dank der penetranten Produktwerbung einzelner User hier in Forum ~notsure~:D , bekomme ich immer mehr Bock auf dieses Spiel ...ich hatte es überhaupt nicht auf dem Schirm und nun muss ich wohl doch noch einmal einen kritischen Blick in mein Haushaltsbuch/Mai 2015 werfen

Photomodus mit Nahaufnahmen kommt dann natürlich nicht an andere Spiele ran (GT6 Modelle mit Tessellation ~fap~)

And ey, I agree that the game is awesome in consoles, is awesome in PC (that's why I put my money day zero funding it and shared every problem I had in wmd forums) and they deserve a lot of success. But I don't like interpretable truths (neither being called myopic, indeed).

The hidden hatchback is the A1 Quattro. It's one of the few cars that's conpletely done but not in the final build. It was also revealed along with the IMSA 90 GTO in the Audi licensing announcement, and that's also modelled but not revealed.

Funny hearing the usual silly "simcade" comments. The physics model in Project Cars feels very similar to Forza 5 when using the XB1 controller.

Project Cars is a great game with a strong focus on the details of motorsport that GT and Forza have often ignored. But the childish PC-master racer style belittling of those two console games' physics engines is just plain ignorant. There's a heck of a lot of good things in the FM5 handling model - the tire and weight shifting particularly.

I've been a team member on Project Cars since the very early days and I think the handling is very strong. But I don't think it's better or worse than the only other next-gen racing sim - Forza 5. It's a little different - but not hugely so and there are areas where I feel FM5 is still stronger. What sets Project Cars apart is the focus on real Motorsports and the many included circuits - that's why the heavy focus on open wheel, GT and prototype cars instead of light-to-light American muscle.

Die Meinung habe ich noch nie gehört - und schaut beim zuschauen auch nicht direkt so aus. ~hmm~
Dann habe ich das Spiel ja schon - nur mit mehr Autos und weniger Tracks, Wetter,... :ugly:

Häh? Also nichts gegen Forza. Aber wenn man nicht als "Simcade" / Semi-Sim bezeichnet werden will dann sollte man schon in vielen Belangen besser oder gleich gut wie Forza sein und nicht schlechter. Widerspricht sich ein bisschen.

Denke mit Rennwochenende und Wetter wäre Forza auf einen Schlag (noch) etwas "ernsthafter" in Sachen Anspruch. Sowas gab es sogar zu PSX Zeiten in TOCA oder F1 Spielen. Die Basis wirkt soweit ich das beurteilen kann durchaus solide.

Wenn ich nach dem "Testfahrer" im Stream gehe ist das Spiel nix für "Casuals" :ugly:
Entweder wird er letzter oder zerstört das Auto = DNF.

Hab aber nicht gesehen welche KI Schwierigkeit eingestellt war.
Edit: Momentan ist es 50 (von 100).

50 ist schon, zumindest auf dem PC, extrem leicht. Okay, ich kann wohl ganz gut fahren, aber wenn man sich nicht zu blöd anstellt, sollte 50 kein Problem sein.

Überschaubare, aber durchaus ausreichende Fahrzeugauswahl.
Der Fokus liegt halt auf reinen Rennautos und da passen die Autos schon.
Lieber so als über 20 versch. Mazda MX 5 Varianten oder 40 Nissan Skyline, die sich teils wohl nur in Nuancen unterscheiden.

Wichtiger sind mir da schon die Strecken und da scheint PC abzuliefern, wenn die Track List auf GTPlanet richtig ist.
Nur die geplanten Strecken lassen mich trotzdem überlegen, ob ich nicht auf eine GotY Version warten soll.
Immerhin scheinen es 15 oder 16 Strecken zu sein, die noch per DLC kommen sollen.

Zum "Motion Blur":
I have just played project cars in GAME ... I honestly can't recommend the ps4 version I played today over a pc on low/med.

I can see the mush in screen when turning (the ghosting causes a blurry mess on screen)...

I can assure you, that if it turned me off, it'll turn other users off too.

I will admit, I never knew about it until I read it here, but I had played on pc, and had only seen videos. After hearing about the issue I went to game, did a few tests and can categorically state that the blur/ghosting when turning is unacceptable and in my opinion I would not recommend this to anyone who cares about clarity. I would suggest pc or Xbox. If you DONT care about clarity, then yes the ps4 version is fine.

Just back from GAME. Did three laps round spa in the Ariel atom.

Didn't notice any ghosting but wasn't really looking as I was in the middle of a 35 car field.

The quality looked perfectly fine to me. What did annoy me is the pit engineer. Told me to pit after the first corner for fuel! Was told to pit every lap even on the last one before the bus stop!

Right, back from Game, Edinburgh (thanks @kkdrummer for the heads-up!). Played two laps of Laguna Seca with the Z4 GT3 and no opponents (only noticed after I'd started, d'oh). Then Road America with Formula B, this time set AI to 70 and 44 opponents.

First, I'll get the blur thing out the way, yes, it's there, like RespolRider says, it's only really on turning, not on the straights but IMO, as much as I'd rather not have it, I didn't think it was as bad as the videos make it out to be. I ended up off the track half the time looking for it but once I concentrated on the racing, I didn't notice it as much either. So, my LE edition arriving a week today is still intact and I'm happy with that. I understand other may not be so easy about it. Also, I don't have an Xbox One and my old laptop isn't up to the job and I really want this game!

Thought it played quite well with the controller, it seemed over sensitive at first but I think this pays off when you're at higher speeds. The progression through the triggers for braking and accelerating seemed pretty good. Still, can't wait to play this with my T300!

Probably worst thing was with my second race as noted above, as I accelerated off the line, I crashed straight into the back of the car in front, it was like they were sleeping when the lights went green! As the field spread out though, it seemed much better. By the end of the second lap, I was hardly catching anyone although my driving wasn't the best :-)

Overall, very happy and can't wait for next Friday....even although I'm out Friday night and away with lads til Tuesday, grrrr.........

Andy Garton project manager on project cars over on WMD has pretty much confirmed that their accepted that screen tearing isn't something they will be fixing as they find it acceptable..

I however do not and I'm now almost going to cancel my ps4 pre order, I'm trying to find out more. But I am very disappointed with his responses to questions about console performance and visual tearing. Mostly noted in vvv ps4 coverage...
I've been trying to get some solid information on it via WMD, the early access forum areas, I did get one response from a senior member whom confirmed they won't be implementing v sync or triple buffering , and when I questioned it further the project cars defense force leaps in and mocks , including Andy garton a senior development manager , which has actually left a sour taste in my mouth for SMS and now I'm not so sure ....

I'd go with caution for console versions of this title IMO from what I've been finding out today..

Could just be nothing but WMD are embargoing all reviews until the what they call d1p , day one patch is applied... I do know for sure pit crew is totally missing from current builds. Even though its now near a week from release...

Well a more sensible SMS PS4 lead developer answered my questions, and the PS4 version runs in what he called Window Mode.
PS4 uses 'window mode' for syncing, so it's v-synced unless it runs out of time in odd situations then it will flip in a windowed region of the raster scan
Which means it'll tear soon as it cannot maintain a stable framerate, however how often - no idea.

After contact with Martin in WMD I want to note again than my comparisons were done using gamersyde footage (direct feed videos). This source material has compression and more important, is from a build that doesn't correspond with the version that will be available in PS4 in a few days.

They have improved graphics since then, and added new effects absent in gamersyde footage.

I apology if it caused negative effect on someone about the game but those comparisons never had the goal of take for granted the quality of the game in the final version with day one patches applied that will differ from current available footage.
