Zum Castle Crushers DLC:

I am now investigating the Pink Knight issue and spoke to The Behemoth about this recently. Currently the status on the third-party systems is that the Pink Knight DLC failed at QA during its latest submission and there hasn’t been a new code submission yet.
Since this has gone on for quite some time now, I have asked third party to make contact with the publisher and look at getting a new submission into QA as fast as possible. Once the content does pass QA we can have it on the Store within two weeks, so in subsequent posts you can ask me about it and I’ll try to kep you up to datwe with the current status.
This seems to be more of a breakdown of communication rather than anyone being at fault, so I’ve done what I can to get things moving again.

Interessante Details zu Ape Escape:

Ape Escape is on our list – the Euro version failed QA, in fact I have the QA report in front of me and the problem was that the game didn’t detect the PSP Analogue stick. The game constantly pops up the message about not being able to detect the stick and then quits out.
If the game is out on the Japanese Store then they may have a way around the issue for that version – would you be happy with the Japanese version if that’s all we could get working? I’d be interested to know your thoughts.

Okay well, Tomb Raider 2 failed at QA, so that’s not going anywhere any time soon. Spyro also had some failure issues but we’re looking into them – these titles are obviously high priority for us so we’re trying to find a workaround.

Spelunker HD:

Spelunker HD was pulled by the publisher from the previous release, but is currently scheduled for a August 10th release and should be involved in PS+

Meldung zum Motorstorm 1 DLC, welcher mit dem "gefallenen" Server unmöglich zu nutzen ist:

Afair habe ich nie einen DLC zu MS1 genutzt, was geht da nicht ohne Server?

Edit:
Achso. MS1 nutzt einen eigenen Updatemechanismus, der ohne Server nicht geht. Und ohne Update funktioniert der DLC nicht.
Sony und MS: Bitte gebt uns eine Offlineupdatefunktion. Die heutigen, halbfertigen Spiele lassen sich sonst in Zukunft nicht mehr reparieren.

Da wurde anfangs eine falsche Sprachversion ausgeliefert. Es kann doch nicht so schwer sein jedem zusätzlich die richtige Fassung in die Downloadliste zu geben. Stattdessen soll jeder den Support anrufen.

Duly noted – there’s a group of us here who are working hard on trying to get you US and Japanese imports for the Store.

I’ve been trying to encourage the publishers to release more PSP titles digitally but often it’s not cost effective for them to do so – they have to get their development teams back in to convert them and the revenue they generate sometimes doesn’t cover the cost.

Sehr umständlich wenn da wieder die Entwickler ran müssen.

Breath of Fire IV erscheint im PSN

Capcom wird den Japano-Rollenspiel-Klassiker Breath of Fire IV am 16. August im PlayStation Network veröffentlichen. Dieser Termin gilt vorerst zwar nur für die USA, da er dem Eintrag eines Capcom-Sprechers im amerikanischen Capcum-Unity-Forum zu entnehmen ist, oft folgt die EU-Version ihrem Übersee-Gegenstück aber auf dem Fuße.

Breath of Fire ist die bislang fünfteilige JRPG-Reihe Capcoms, die 1993 auf dem SNES debütierte. Oft dackelten die Entwickler zwar eher dem gängigen Japano-Schema hinterher, trotzdem kamen dabei immer wieder bemerkenswerte Spielchen dabei heraus, deren Geschichten sich durchaus sehen lassen konnten.

Der letzte Teil - Breath of Fire - Dragon Quarter - erschien 2002 auf der PS2 und war für Serienverhältnisse ziemlich originell, aber auch extrem schwer. Ein Geheimtipp für die Harten unter euch.

Mit Move klappt es irgendwie, aber mit dem DS3....
Das geht nicht locker von der Hand. Ich habs mir viel besser vorgestellt.

Any game where licensed products appear in them, such as certain sports games or games with music tracks licensed from artists tend to be impossible to re-release.

I’d also like to know whether games already available as 50Hz PAL versions will be rereleased as the 60Hz NTSC versions.

That’s not a priority for us at the moment, but if there is enough demand we may look into this in the future. At the moment the focus is to bring you games that you’ve been missing or have been previously unavailable outside of the US or Japan.

NTSC-J und NTSC-U PSone Klassiker kommen zu uns

Hi Leute!

Wir haben tolle Neuigkeiten: Einige PSOne Emulationen aus den USA und Japan werden zur Zeit für einen Release in unseren PlayStation Stores vorbereitet.

Wir können zwar noch kein Datum oder einen Titel bestätigen, einige befinden sich aber schon in der Mache und ihr werdet sich bald im PlayStation Store finden können.

Was bedeutet das für euch?

Hier sind die wichtigsten Punkte:

• Publisher, die die Rechte dazu besitzen, einen PSOne Titel zu veröffentlichen, der bisher nur in Japan oder den USA verfügbar war, können diese Titel jetzt auch für den SCEE PlayStation Store anbieten (vorrausgesetzt, sie wurden für jedes Gebiet von der entspechenden Jugendschutzstelle geprüft).

• Alle Titel werden so wie sie sind veröffentlicht, also entweder mit englischen oder japanischen Inhalten.

• Alle Titel laufen auf 60Hz, ihr braucht also einen 60Hz-fähigen Bildschirm um sie richtig spielen zu können.

Das bedeutet auch, dass ein Titel, der den Übertragungsprozess in der NTSC Version geschafft hat, der aber durch den PAL-Prozess durchgefallen ist, eventuell einfach in der NTSC-Version veröffentlicht werden kann. Wir können nicht einfach sofort die US-Version veröffentlichen, es muss immer noch für SCEE angepasst werden, aber wir wissen dann schon mal, dass das Spiel mehr oder weniger Bug-frei laufen sollte.

Bitte beachtet: Das bedeutet NICHT, dass wir Titel veröffentlichen können bei denen es rechtliche Probleme gibt weil zum Beispiel die Lizenzen abgelaufen sind.
