So what’s Tokyo Xanadu all about? A colossal earthquake devastates Tokyo and changes the lives of its inhabitants forever. 10 years pass and the city and its inhabitants slowly return to a semblance of normalcy. However, behind the veil of this newly rebuilt metropolis lies another world, one with a sinister secret.

The earthquake that originally destroyed Tokyo was actually caused by the emergence of a mysterious and lethal shadow world known as Eclipse. Now, action must be taken to thwart the legions of Eclipse and ensure the protection of peace. (That’s where you come in!)

Epic stakes always make for dramatic quests, but any hero worth their weight in loot and XP knows that no adventure is ever complete without a memorable cast of quirky characters. Tokyo Xanadu offers this in spades as you’re guaranteed to encounter a multitude of eccentric personalities in your journey through Moriyama City.

Build relationships and forge alliances as you unravel the secrets of Eclipse and get ever closer to the truth behind the mysterious shadow world. The EX+ version of the game will offer a plethora of additional features to those looking for more content including new monsters, dungeons, modes and a new playable character: the White Shroud.

So there you have it, gamers! Whether you game on the go or at home, Tokyo Xanadu and Tokyo Xanadu EX+ both offer something for everyone!

Scheinbar released diese Woche die Vita Version von Tokyo Xanadu

Alle Reviews zu der Version:
It’s safe to compare it to Persona 4‘s level of daily exploration…

Die EX Version für die PS4 soll noch dieses Jahr kommen welche 60fps und sehr viel neuen Content bietet den es nicht in der Vita Version gibt.

Additional eX+ version (PS4) features:
-Full HD at 60 Frames Per Second
In addition to full high-definition graphics, the PlayStation 4 version of Tokyo Xanadu runs at 60 frames per second. The battles that unfold in the Other World dungeons are even smoother and more dynamic, and the grand event scenes depicted with Kou and company at its center are even more elaborate and vivid.
-New Scenarios! Side Stories and After Story Added
-With the exception of protagonist Kou, Side Stories from the point of view of the other “Qualified” high school students have been added. Enjoy the tales of the Qualified students that weren’t depicted in the main story as all new stories.
-Additionally, a new, large-volume “After Story,” available after the main story is cleared, has also been added. It is set in October 2015, when Morimiya City is flourishing with -Halloween-related events. But then a mysterious “Black Fox Mask Boy” appears before Kou and company…
-New Playable Character: “White Shroud”
Play as White Shroud, a knight with an unidentified seal who belongs the “Holy Spirit Church,” a third power that has a different standpoint from the “Nemesis,” which Asuka belongs to, and “Zodiac,” which Mitsuki belongs to.
In addition to his heightened parameters, he triumphs in all skill types, including shooting, flight, and strength skills.
In the PS Vita version, the attack attributes of “Fire,” “Spirit,” “Wind,” “Steel,” and “Shadow” appeared. White Shroud belongs to his own exclusive attribute of “Light,” which is strong against every other attribute except Shadow.
-New Modes: “Time Attack” and “Boss Rush”
In the new “Time Attack” mode, the goal is defeat the various bosses (Elder Greeds) that appear in the main story as quickly as possible. In the new “Boss Rush” mode, you can battle each boss one after the other.
-Tons of New Greeds and Dungeons, New Difficulty Mode
-Joining the new Side Stories and After Story are new dungeons in the Other World, and new types of Greeds (monsters) and Elder Greeds (large bosses) to battle.
-With the addition of a new “Calamity” difficulty mode, there are also now a total of five difficulty modes available to players: “Beginner,” “Normal,” “Advanced,” “Elite,” and “Calamity.”

Und dann noch weniger Inhalt als in der PS4 Version. :kopfkratz:

Tokyo Xanadu eX+ for PS4 Gets North American Release Date; More Info on PC Promised
North America JRPG fans will finally be able to enjoy the improved Tokyo Xanadu eX+ for PS4 and PS4 Pro on December 8th, 2017.

The game will launch in North America on December 8th, and it will include more playable characters and additional dialogue compared to the PS Vita version. No information was provided about the European release.

On top of this, we also learn that more information about the PC release on Steam will be announced at a later date.

The PS Vita version of the game was released in Japan on September 2015, followed by the PS4 version in September 2016. Western fans have waited for over a year for the PS Vita version released on June 30th, 2017, and the trend remained pretty much the same for the PS4 version.

This shouldn’t be too surprising, considering that Tokyo Xanadu has a whole lot of text to translate. The release timing is actually quite convenient, since it’s a sizable game, and it’ll work nicely with the Holidays.

If you’re not familiar with the game, you can check out our review of the original PS Vita title. The PS4 version is improved, including 4K support on PS4 Pro, but don’t expect the apple to fall very far from the tree.
