GT Sport Launchwoche in Japan: #1

Etwas mehr als ein Drittel von GT5.
Aber weniger als GT6. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/gtsport-takes-1-in-japanese-game-sales-for-the-week.363937/

---------- Beitrag um 22:48 Uhr hinzugefügt ---------- Vorheriger Beitrag um 22:46 Uhr ----------

Interestingly, although PD is a Japanese company so you'd think they might have a sort of home field advantage, the game is scoring just as poorly on Amazon Japan as it is elsewhere, averaging only 2.3 stars with 322/626 reviews giving it only 1 star.

Ubisoft scheint alles richtig zu machen:

Von Daniel Ahmad's Twitter Account

Ubisoft has had a successful H1.

Boosted by new game releases and continued live service engagement and spend.Original

Assassin's Creed Origins sales in the first 10 days are 2x what Syndicate sold in the same time period.

Ubisoft:

Nintendo Switch accounted for 19% of total sales this last quarter.

Roughly the same percentage as Xbox One.

Impressive.

Assassin's Creed Origins digital share is around ~35% according to Yves.

Syndicate was around 15%.

Shows how digital is growing.

Ubisoft:

South Park TFBW is selling faster than Stick of Truth in the same time period.

The trial is converting a lot of players.

Digital share for South Park TFBW is around ~50%.

Shows how some titles can have absolutely huge digital download shares.

Ubisoft:

Single player games with certain elements (Open World, RPG, user generated content, expansions, Co-op) can continue to do well.
GTA5:

Grand Theft Auto V has now sold in more than 85 million units.

More than Wii Sports (RIP)

Grand Theft Auto V has sold in more than 10 million units this year alone.

That's super impressive for a game that launched in 2013.

Bear in mind that the 10 million number above does not necessarily include sales during the holiday season.

(Yes, Wii Sports was bundled)

LY, I uncovered a trend that GTA sales increased/decreased in line with PS4/XB1 sales

Implying people buy GTA with a new console purchase
Noch eine Entwicklung:
Take Two: Recurrent consumer spend (MTX, DLC, Season Passes, Loot boxes etc...) accounted for 48% of the company's Net Revenue last quarter.

In other words, 48% of Take Two's revenue came from stuff like GTAV shark cards and NBA 2K18 virtual currency.

People are buying em.

Basically the reason AAA is switching to GaaS is because most gamers are willing to pay for new in game content within their favourite games

It's why games are no longer 'fire and forget'

They're now live services that continue to generate engagement and spend over multiple years
LA Noire

Take Two:

LA Noire sold in over 7.5 million units.

The remaster launching this year will allow more to experience the game.

The first week sales of Xbox One X is over 80,000 in the UK, GamesIndustry.biz can reveal.

Retailers have shared data that reveal that Microsoft's new super-powered console has sold as many units in its first week as Nintendo Switch did in March (hardware figures are up-weighted 20%. Xbox One X raw data is at 67,000).

It's first week sales are also well ahead of PS4 Pro, which did a little over 50,000 back in November 2016. Indeed, it took PS4 Pro four weeks to reach the same number.

From what I can tell, GTS outsold F7 in terms of units by like rounded 15k (so, either way, razer finish) but F7 had a much stronger SKU strategy cause their ASP killed it. So much higher in Rev.

Rise of the Tomb Raider verkauft

St.
* Release: 2013

- Rise of the Tomb Raider (PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC): fast 7 Mio. St.
* Release: 2015
CLICK (GamesIndustry: "East meets West: Yosuke Matsuda on growing Square Enix's global empire")
