Manche Features scheinen wirklich nicht sonderlich überlegt, erst recht wenn es wie in diesem Fall nicht nur ein Rückschritt von der 360 sind, sondern auch ein Nachteil gegenüber der Konkurrenz.
Aber es gibt auch Positives. MS hat die erste Welle von ID@Xbox Titeln angekündigt:
Dabei handelt es sich um MS's Indie Programm. Die Studios welche unterschreiben bekommen ein Dev-Kit und die Unity-Devtools gratis (beliebte Engine im Indie-Bereich).
Die Regeln die noch bei der 360 galten wurden außerdem gelockert.
Früher musste ein Live Arcade-Spiel mind. gleichzeitig und inhaltsgleich unter dem Live Arcade Banner erscheinen.

We do not require exclusivity agreements. However, we do ask for day one parity with other console game platforms
In instances where games have signed a timed exclusive with another platform, we'll work with them on a case by case basis.

"Microsoft was doing reach-out to certain developers back in the early days of ID@XBOX, and we discussed potentially bringing Nuclear Throne to Xbox One with them," Ismail says. "There had been mentions beforehand that there was a launch parity clause in the contract, with the exception of games that were already signed to another platform during the announcement of their self-publishing program. Thus, before we signed with Microsoft, we e-mailed Sony that we quickly wanted to sign Nuclear Throne with them with a month of exclusivity."
