Yakuza series director Toshihiro Nagoshi teased the next Yakuza title in this week’s issue of Dengeki PlayStation.

According to Nagoshi, the team is taking a programmatic approach with the next title so that players can have a more physical experience.

Regarding the battle system, the team aims to reach new innovations.

About the next game in general, they want to offer a broadened form of play.

Don’t expect to see the next Yakuza title on PlayStation 3, though. Nagoshi said he thinks Yakuza 5 will be the last entry in the series part of PlayStation 3′s generation.

But rest assured the studio will continue developing with the the intent to make things the best they an under the circumstances.

Nagoshi hopes to show the next “something” sometime this year.

Habe Teil 4 durch + aber noch nicht gespielt muss das mal machen irgendwann.

Vor allem ist es jetzt nach Yakuza 5 und Yakuza Zero nicht so unwahrscheinlich, dass wir den in 2 Jahren oder so auch kriegen!

Bei Yakuza 5 muss ich passen, weil ich keine PS3 mehr habe. Aber Zero wird auf jeden Fall geholt, damit die wissen, dass es hier genug Fans gibt

Hoffentlich. Aber dann wäre etwas mehr Publicity auch schön. Habe das Gefühl das die Serie kaum neue Fans im Westen gewonnen hat, weil es einfach überhaupt keine Werbung gibt. Die einzige Erwähnung gab es auf der PSX. Aber nix auf der E3 oder Gamescom, wo man mit einem dicken Trailer ins Gespräch kommen könnte. Soweit ich weiß war Yakuza 5 z.B. auch nicht spielbar auf der Gamescom, hätte sich aber sicher angeboten, zumindest auf dem Sony-Stand.
