Auch dieses Jahr veranstaltet Sony wieder eine GT Academy - ein Wettbewerb der in mehreren Stufen vom virtuellen Fahren in GT5 schließlich in's Cockpit eines echten Rennwagen führt.

Dieses Jahr bekommt Deutschland eine eigene GT Academy. Zur Teilnahme ist 2012 nicht einmal der Besitz von GT5 erforderlich.
Für den Wettbewerb wird es eine spezielle Software geben, die ab dem 1. Mai kostenlos aus dem PSN geladen werden kann.

GT Academy this year, like the first GT Academy, features a first qualifying round that takes the format of a standalone, downloadable pack. The pack is free to download from PSN, starting on May 1st and doesn’t require Gran Turismo 5 in order to play it. The pack features exclusive content and challenges that “should be a lot of fun whether you’ve played Gran Turismo before or whether you are coming to the game as a complete newbie“. Some of the content is teasingly glimpsed in the above video, but the exact nature of the challenges remains under wraps for now.

In another change, not all of Europe will be fighting for one berth. As we revealed nearly three months ago, Germany will be getting its own GT Academy competition, but it now seems that Russia will get its own too. The rest of Europe – UK & Eire, France, Spain, Portugal, BeNeLux, Poland, Switzerland and Austria – will face off against each other in the final bootcamp at Silverstone later this year. The USA is also involved in its own GT Academy, running parallel to the European Academies, meaning there will be four GT Academy winners in 2012 and doubling the Academy alumni!

The first qualification round begins on May 1st for all European gamers (May 2nd for US gamers) and run through to June 24th before gamers are selected for the regional finals. The overall prize remains a seat in the Dubai 24 Hour race in January 2013.

In Deutschland beginnt die GT Academy 2012 für alle PlayStation®3-Besitzer am 01. Mai 2012, 18:00 Uhr. Dann heißt es sich in zahlreichen Herausforderungen rund um Gran Turismo®5 bis zum 24. Juni 2012, 01:00 Uhr online zu beweisen. Die achtstufige Qualifikation, an der jeder Spieler mit einer PlayStation®3 online teilnehmen kann, basiert auf Gran Turismo®5, ist aber eine eigene Neuentwicklung von Kazunori Yamauchi, dem legendären Schöpfer der Rennspielreferenz für PlayStation®3.

Die 16 schnellsten Gran Turismo®5-Spieler Deutschlands nehmen am großen Deutschland-Finale am 21. und 22. Juli am legendären Nürburgring teil. Dort treffen sie auf die 16 Sieger, die zuvor über Nissan bei einer Reihe von Live-Events rekrutiert wurden. Danach erfolgt der Übergang von der virtuellen Welt der PS3 zu echten Nissan-Rennwagen: Im nächsten Wettkampfschritt werden die 12 Besten eingeladen, an einem intensiven internationalen Rennfahrercamp teilzunehmen, das im August in Silverstone stattfindet.

Die Endsieger der einzelnen GT Academy-Wettkämpfe im Renncamp durchlaufen anschließend ein sehr gründliches und umfangreiches Rennfahrer-Trainingsprogramm. In diesem Driver Development Programm bereiten sie sich auf die Chance zur Teilnahme am anspruchsvollen 24-Stunden-Rennen von Dubai im Januar 2013 vor – den ultimativen Wettkampfpreis der GT Academy.

Die GT Academy 2012 von Nissan und PlayStation startet am 01. Mai 2012, 18:00 Uhr MEZ.

Die Online-Qualifikation der GT Academy endet in Europa am 25. Juni um 0:59 Uhr MEZ. Die schnellsten 16 Online-Spieler aus jeder Region qualifizieren sich für die nationalen Finalrunden-Events. Maximal 16 weitere Plätze im nationalen Finale werden über eine Reihe von GT5-Live-Events besetzt.

Die neu ausgeschriebene deutsche GT Academy läuft zwar weitgehend nach den Regularien des europäischen Vorbilds, jedoch terminlich wie logistisch komplett unabhängig. Dank des eigenen GT Academy-Status darf Deutschland 2012 nun erstmals einen eigenen Nachwuchsstar aufbauen.

Beim 24h-Rennen von Dubai 2013 wird also garantiert ein deutscher Fahrer am Steuer eines Nissan 370Z sitzen.

Etwa alle zwei Wochen werden neue Events freigeschaltet. Dabei kann man nichts verpassen, d.h. bis zum Ende sind auch die alten Events zugänglich.

Round 1 and 2:

Round 3 and 4:

14/5 (Mon) 00:00 – 24/6 (Sun) 23:59 BST

Round 5 and 6:

Round 7 and 8 (ROUND 8 IS FINAL/QUALIFICATION EVENT):

Wer alle Events einer Runde auf Gold schafft bekommt das Auto in GT5. Aber auch für Bronze gibt's noch unbekannte Belohnungen.

Geht muss ja die Gesamte Engine, Controller Setting und Lenkrad Unterstützung etc. vorhanden sein. Dann noch ein paar Strecken und Autos. Ich denke das passt schon.

Die alte TT Demo hatte ~200MB, also so ganz verstehe ich die Größe nicht.

first mission, drive a Nissan Leaf trough long corner.... golded that one immidiatly,

second mission, drive same Leaf at long corner to the left, golded it immidiatly aswell,

third mission, still in the electric car that sounds like a jet fighter take a series of corners at eifel, golded it

fourth mission in the leaf, series of corners on the eiger nordwand circuit, golded it
