Can we turn AllDrive off and just play against AI instead?
Yes, you can turn off AllDrive at any time; this will simply populate the world with AI. Similarly, if just a few friends are playing with you in AllDrive, the AI will fill in the experience with you. However you choose to play, the game will adjust the AI accordingly, including their difficulty as you rise in the ranks.

How will AllDrive work on current consoles?

AllDrive works with players on the same platform. So if you’re playing on a PlayStation 3, you can only play against other PS3 players and friends with the same console. The same goes with PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.

How can friends meet up in game and what devices will the OverWatch feature be available on?
Friends will automatically be connected to each other’s racing world in AllDrive. To help them meet up faster you can set waypoints to one another in EasyDrive, which is
just a couple clicks on the D-Pad. You can also see other racers on the map and spawn at specific locations nearby. OverWatch mode requires an internet or Wifi connection and will be available on Web, mobile and iPad and Android devices.

Is Need for Speed Network just like Battlelog for Battlefield series? What all features does it have and will it impact the game in-real time?
Need for Speed Network is powered by Autolog and similar to Battlelog in tracking your stats but is of course tailored to a racing game. OverWatch mode allows players to extend the gaming experience onto a second screen by interacting with their friends playing Need for Speed Rivals. OverWatch can be played next to the console or anywhere, anytime on tablet and mobile. For example, you can help or hinder your friends by calling in a helicopter to drop a spike strip during a friend’s race or assist them by filling their nitrous

Is there a career mode and can you play NFS Rivals offline?

Check out the Progression trailer here. This will be similar to a career mode and will be available at all times in the game, offline or online. It will also feature two separate paths, one as a Cop and one as a Racer. Each path will require and reward different things. You can advance at your discretion. Keep an eye on our news for more on Progression in the coming weeks.

What’s the story behind the cops? Are they reformed racers now on the side of the law?

In the coming weeks you can look forward to more info about Cop Progression. As mentioned above, it’s similar to a career mode and will give more insight to the history
and personalities of the cops. I can assure you; they are just as eager to race in extreme ways as the Racers. Why? You’ll have to play to find out!

Does this game utilize the Frostbite 3 sound engine?

Yes, it does. As you know sound is one of the key pillars and award-winning features of the Frostbite engine. We have taken full advantage of that and spent countless hours capturing authentic sounds to implement into this powerful sound engine. After all, the purr of a powerful performance car is one of things that make them so incredible. We definitely didn’t want to deprive players of this experience.

Tight circuits? Long, open highways?

The game is set in an open world called Redview County that’s filled with all types of racing environments. We designed it to satiate the amazing power that the supercars in the game possess. We wanted to make sure each car has the chance to maximize their potential reaching top speed on long highways as well as drifting smoothly through the snowy mountains. In short, you can definitely look forward to many different types of environments including deserts, forests, coasts and hidden tracks to race and chase through.

Mehr als Time Trials ginge auch nicht, da die Next-Gen-Versionen mehr Spieler haben.

Need for Speed Rivals runs at 1080p on Xbox One and PS4
mit Bildern.

PC hoffentlich doch ohne 30fps Limit:
Nothing is ever confirmed till it hits the shops, I remember playing an early version of Shift and saying it was great, then when the final version hit the shops it had completely different dumbed down handling.

To clarify I spoke to a developer and asked about PC frame-rate, triple screen and wheel compatibility. I was informed PC frame-rate should not be restricted but the console versions would be at 30fps with the 1080p PS4 version on display. Nobody could confirm the other questions but it was all expected to be in there.

The tablet was an interesting surprise, in the way it interacted live with the gameplay rather than just being a gimmick but until we have a final version its impossible to know how worthwhile all of that is to the experience.

USGamer - 5/5
Need for Speed: Rivals takes some of the best features from prior franchise entries and combines them with a seamless single-multiplayer mode to create an absolutely terrific, utterly bonkers race-and-chase game that looks and sounds as good as it drives.
http://www.usgamer.net/articles/need...-greatest-hits
GameSpot - 8/10
Need for Speed: Rivals is very much in the tradition of Hot Pursuit, but that great, familiar gameplay has been infused with enough new elements to make it as thrilling here as it's ever been. It sure is good to hit the open road again.

Auto Express - 4/5
The huge, open-world environment, wide variety of cars, superb graphics, life-like weather and damage effects make Need for Speed: Rivals incredibly fun - we could happily play this game for hours at a time. However, the lack of split-screen multiplayer and a cockpit view seem like missed opportunities, and those who prefer more linear gameplay should look elsewhere.

OXM - 8
Need for Speed Rivals is obviously the best-looking the series has been, thanks to the advent of new console hardware, but it's not definitively the best-feeling game in the series. It'll be tough to weather another pre-race lobby in other driving games after experiencing Rivals' seamless single-player/multiplayer mix, but it comes at the expense of a cohesive career mode, which might be slightly too chaotic for some. Fortunately, Ghost Games proves itself worthy of taking the keys from Criterion, as its debut ensures Xbox One is off to a rip-roaring start.

EGM - 7/10
While the driving is superb and the visuals are stunning, the inherent limitations of Rivals‘ AllDrive concept begin to hamper the experience near the end. The result is a game that’s three-quarters great fun, one-quarter miserable, frustrating slog.

GamesRadar - 3.5/5
Need for Speed: Rivals is a wholly enjoyable open-world racer. The driving is solid, its streets are a joy to explore, and its racing assignments--though a bit repetitive at times--are incentive enough to keep you coming back for more.

Need for Speed Rivals: 30 FPS-Lock auf PC bestätigt, die ersten PC-Bilder

~jackieeeee~

really got tired of the migrating hosts in the middle of doing races/time trials so I turned it off.
Except EA cheaped out and don't run dedicated servers, it's all peer-to-peer.

Which means you'll be in the middle of a single-player race and if the host decides to quit it stops the race and takes about 3 minutes to migrate the rest of the players to a new host, then the game dumps you back into your race and you hit a wall and lose.

It's awful.

Luckily you can turn off online integration.

When it comes together, it's fantastic - you can see a gaggle of player-controlled cops working together to bring a high level racer down, or a random encounter can send you on a county-wide chase as balletic and chaotic as only multiplayer can be. Compromises have been made to serve the feature, though, and some are more jarring than others.

The world can't be paused, which is understandable, but a more painful loss is the punchy vehicle combat of Criterion's games of old. One hit knock-outs are no longer particularly feasible, leading instead to slow wars of attrition that see players steadily knocking away at extended health bars. AllDrive also isn't quite the realisation of Eden Studios' dream that Test Drive Unlimited went some way to attaining, either - the moments where the world feels alive with multiplayer possibility are balanced out by those where other player-controlled vehicles seem a million miles away, and the balance between the size of the map and the number of players within it doesn't quite seem to have been met.

Welche Version spielst du denn?
Hab gestern schon was in die Richtung gelesen, glaube ging um die 360.

Edit:
Just unlocked the PC version. 30 FPS confirmed :(
Current gen version of this game has so many technical problems, I don't even want to compile a list.

I'll just post this (sorry about the shitty quality photo):
This is me driving along the interstate. None of it ever loaded in and then it froze my position seconds later, which required quitting the game. The game constantly freezes your car in a single position for significant periods of time, letting you watch as it loads in the world ahead of you. The game requires a mandatory hard drive installation even, but still has these streaming issues.

The biggest threat on the current-gen version of this isn't outrunning the police to bank your speedpoints, but rather trying to reach your hideout before the game glitches and forces you to quit or puts you into a cycle of constant crashing on respawn until you're wrecked.

PS3 oder 360:

Note the black bars on top and bottom, standard with all Frostbite games on PS3/360. They don't render the complete 720p buffer.
