ANIMATIONS
Some animations look unfinished - massively improved
Jumps of the GK look constrained - still a little
GK
Slow reflexes of goalkeepers - no gks are brilliant
AI
AI acts very confident and almost with no mistakes. AI demonstrates unrealistic good vision of the field, and instantly makes decisions (most of them are correct). Most of passes AI go directly to the players legs (few passes go to the area) - yes Ai passes are mostly accurate and straight lines still but there is variability better than Pes 16
Small amount of minor fouls - no, a lot
Monotonous and predictable offensive play of COM (players don't try shoot in the near corner, don't try to dribble, don't try to shoot under the crossbar) - they do all now
AI rarely intentionally foul - didn't see any tbh
THE MECHANICS OF THE GAME
High pace of the game - a lot slower
Maximum speed of the ball after shot and passes is too fast - passes are slow with power and shots still very fast
The ball is bounded to the leading leg of the player (the physics of the ball and its movement depended on the players current animation) - yes
You can feel the ball glued (as if magnetized) to the leading foot when dribbling (it's impossible to lose the ball without impacts) - yes but it would be impossible code this, it is 75% more free than Pes 16
It's too easy for players to take the ball under control after strong pass - way harder
The ball behaves very predictably; it bounces at a convenient distance - no
The ball is automatically bound to the leading leg of the player after receiving the ball. The ball and the player move as one - no not with first touch
Players easily take the ball under control (especially after strong passes). Players easily adjust to the ball (including if the ball is in the air) - no and no
The ball is unbelievably fast and smooth after low crosses, passes (passing has an unrealistically low trajectory (the ball never leaves the ground) and it's unrealistically fast and accurate). In the current parts of the series it's rolling as in footsal or billiards - no it's different definitely
Unrealistic (fantastic) coordination of players. Players sometimes are unrealistically agile, without losing balance. They manage to keep the balance in difficult situations (the way players sprint at full speed and yet they are able to perform a full stop in half a second without losing balance) - much improved, 50 more through the motions and stopping up etc
Low influence of stamina on the actions of the players (countless of accelerations at maximum speed, players don't require time to recover after a long run at high speed). Players can accelerate on maximum speed forever! This is not normal! Need to make PES players to distribute footballers fatigue smarter and implement RPG elements! - players were tired by the 70th minute bit didn't affect anything apart from sprinting. This is a few years away yet
Dribbling are very precise (no dispersion) - 50/50
High efficiency of tackles - standing tackle still weak
The animation of shot or pass goes not simultaneously with the filling of the power-bar, but after filling. The power bar fills up too quickly. For example free kicks – the power bar is filling first, and then the player starts running - still same
The use of RT\R2 (and not pressing RB\R1) turns almost any player in talented futsal player. The ball is magnetized to the leading leg of the players - close control of good players is way better than centre backs
SCRIPTS
High effectiveness of dribbling and shooting using R2 - not as much
Inability to hit the ball into a striker when throwing the ball by GK - no you can
After the transition between episodes players teleport to their default positions instead of staying at the same place. This leads to the loss of pace of the attack! - didn't test tbh
Defenders create free zones and don't properly mark strikers. KONAMI can make the defenders more aware and get rid of some hideous scripts (like when they delay the defender for a fraction just so the attacker gain advantage when a through ball is passed) and make the star player less "godlike" (I hate when Ronaldo can hit almost every shoot with incredible power and accuracy for 90 minutes)? - this is a huge difference now for PES 2017, defenders are brilliant and 50% sharper
The animation and ball trajectory for the R2 shot is still horrible - completely changed
CONTROLS
The need to use super cancel, as soon as you have the marker over your player is should be in control of him, not the AI continuing to run him along a rail - much more free
Low & lofted through ball – OP, Cross - OP - no and no R2 finesse shot - OP - no . Sliding tackle - OP - still a bit
GRAPHICS
Dull lawn (turf/pitch looks much better, but still is not GREEN enough) - will be better at launch I'm told
BROADCAST
No replays of side episodes, there are only key episodes on the replay (such episodes as dramatic dribble, hitting the post and a number of other situations are not shown) - brand new replay to style mode
Freeze-frame in the transitions between scenes - nope
REFEREES
The adequacy of refereeing (the referee doesn’t assess the degree of violation of the rules: instead of yellow card – nothing, instead of red card – yellow) - no refs are brilliant
