According to Hetenyi, the team is already working on the update, and it’s planned (if everything goes well) to come at the same time as the upcoming DLC “A Walk in the Park” before the end of the year.
For the moment there is no set-in-stone release date, but it probably will be released some time after the launch of the Xbox One X on November 7th.
When the DLC eventually releases, Deck 13 is also planning to launch a big update for all players, whether they purchased the DLC or not.
We also hear that the team has put some thought on the possibility of a Switch port, but it’s not really in the plans at the moment. According to Hetenyi, it would be “very very very difficult” to make the game run well enough on Nintendo’s platform, or the game would have to be downgraded in terms of graphics. The team doesn’t find either of those options very appealing.
