http://thevitalounge.net/soldner-x2-listing-spotted-on-esrb/
Released a four years ago, Soldner-X 2: Final Prototype gained some fairly respectable scores when released on the PS3, and it looks like we could be seeing a PS Vita port if this listing from the ESRB is to be believed.

The game is a single stick side scrolling shooter in the R-Type and Graduius vein, with some very hectic game play and was praised for its addictive nature and great visuals. The PS3 launch trailer is below to illustrate what can be expected.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment Sequel Gets The Green Light
It’s been a few months since Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment was released in Japan, and it seems to have done quite well, as a sequel is already in the plans according to this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Game Jouhou].

During an interview with producer Yosuke Futami and Sword Art Online author Rei Kawahara, Famitsu mentioned that Futami previously stated that if Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment sells more than the previous game, Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment on PSP, a sequel for the Vita game would be possible.

Now that Hollow Fragment has already outsold the PSP game, Futami revealed “I’m thinking about setting up plans for the sequel.”

More details on a new Sword Art Online game should be revealed in the near future. Meanwhile, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment will be released in North America on August 19, and Europe on August 20, 2014.

Rogue Legacy release date confirmed for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita

What’s up guys! We’re crazy proud to announce that the official release date for Rogue Legacy on ALL Playstation platforms will be 30th July, 2014! That’s only three weeks away! That’s complete insanity, and we’re totes mcgoats excited to finally bring it to consoles and handhelds.

Now, before I go into a list of the awesomeness that is the PlayStation versions of Rogue Legacy, I just want to give a shout out to the guys at Abstraction Games. They did almost all of the work on bringing the game to PlayStation, and this would never have happened without them. So big ups to them for all their help!

For those that don’t know, I should probably explain to you guys what Rogue Legacy is. It’s a rogue-lite game where you must conquer a magical castle which is constantly changing. Every time you die, your children succeed you. Each child has his or her own unique genetic traits, so one child might be a near sighted wizard, and another could be a flatulent ninja. So every play through is unique, right from the get-go.

As an added bonus, all the money you earn is passed down to your children, giving each generation a leg up on the last. And you’ll need every edge you can get, because this game is hard!
Anyways, before this gets too long, let me list out why the PlayStation versions are awesome.

Cross Buy! — Do you want the awesome portable-ness of Vita? Or do you want the epic big screen experience of PS4/PS3? Don’t worry, you won’t have to make that choice because we’ll just give it all to you!

Cross Save! -- Going out? Play on the Vita, and when you get home, your save will be brought over to your PS4/PS3 via cloud magic!

101% content! — Every single feature in the PC version, including all of the content patches, has been faithfully brought over to the PlayStation versions. So you get all the extra Bonus zones, traits, and boss remixes jam packed into those sweet little bytes, along with just a little bit more. But only just a little.

Multi-lingual! — Rogue Legacy’s been translated into a whole BUNCH of languages for you guys. We’ve got English, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Polish, Russian, and Spanish. :D

PS Vita control scheme bliss! — When we originally made Rogue Legacy, we made it with the PS Vita buttons in mind. No joke. We gambled that if it did well, we wouldn’t want the Vita version being nerfed in the control department, so we made sure to not use too many buttons. That crazy gamble we made over a year ago paid off, and that means the Vita version plays perfectly! Happiness!

Platinum Trophy! — Aw yiss! Platinum awesome-ness! Thanks, PlayStation!

Skullgirls Encore Coming to PS4 and PS Vita in 2014

Very little has been constant during Skullgirls’ two year existence — after all, the game has changed distributors and even developers. But one thing has stayed with us all this time: people asking us to bring the game to PS Vita and, more recently, PS4.

We read your comments, we took them to heart, and we’re finally making it happen: Skullgirls Encore will be coming to PS4 and PS Vita later this year!

The PS4 and PS Vita versions of Skullgirls Encore will be complete, including all of the DLC characters, stages, and story funded by Lab Zero’s Indiegogo campaign, as well as “All Play” multiplayer lobbies and an extensive art gallery.

Skullgirls Encore for PS Vita will also be playable on PlayStation TV, and support up to two local players using DualShock 3 or 4 controllers.

We’ll have more info on features and pricing as these exciting new versions get closer to launch.

Eliza Update

Those that have been watching our stream know that Eliza is coming along nicely, but we’ve gone ahead and put together a short video showing all of her (obviously unfinished) moves in action.
[ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A8lAYEoe28[/ame]
Eliza’s story mode is our biggest, deepest yet. Fans interested in Skullgirls’ story and lore will find a lot to enjoy here.

Beowulf and Robo-Fortune

At the Skullgirls Anime Expo panel, the Lab Zero team revealed a bit more about Skullgirls’ future, with Beowulf move concepts.

Beowulf is a wrestler, and will draw on all sorts of over-the-top wrestling moves. In addition to being a great grappler, he’ll also be able to throw his chair, The Hurting, and use it in interesting and strategic ways.

We’re just about to begin animation pre-production for Beowulf, so for now, take a look at a few of these early concept pieces!

At our Anime Expo panel we also revealed the final design of our new “remix” character, Robo-Fortune. We have a million ideas for palettes based on robots throughout games and anime — can you guess this one?

Unlike our April Fool’s “clone” character, Fukua, Robo-Fortune will be fully drawn over with her new design, and also feature new animations to make her look and feel significantly different from her flesh and blood counterpart.

And thus concludes our update on all things Skullgirls: new platforms, new characters, and continued momentum. Thanks for reading!

Coole Sache eigentlich.
