Cosmic Star Heroine release window June-August 2016
We upped the number of NPCs that are possible on a single map at one time (now at 40) so to compensate, we made some general performance improvements to the game's engine. We improved the efficiency of the audio engine, NPCs, special effects in combat, and map backgrounds. In the test on the Vita version we did last week, we were getting 52-60 frames per second on everything except map loading (where framerate doesn't matter since the screen is black). Quite the improvement from when we first started and the Vita version was almost completely unplayable! And of course, these improvements benefit all versions of the game.

For example, with resolution, we had only been showing off the game at trade shows at 1080p and the Vita's resolution (960 x 544), but in the "wild," people will want to play the game with a wide variety of resolutions. We're pleased to state that Cosmic Star Heroine currently has the most robust resolution feature set of any of our games to date. Not only can you play the game full-screen or in a variety of different-sized windows, but the game will adjust the viewing area (within certain boundaries) and the layout of the user interface to accommodate different resolutions while still presenting the highest quality graphics & animation.

Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls PS Vita Game Heads West in Fall

Idea Factory International is bringing Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls for PS Vita to North America and Europe both physically and digitally this fall, the publisher announced.

The RPG adventure puts players in the role of IF, who must take the main stage after the Neptunia series’ usual heroine Neptune is transformed into a motorcycle. With the help of the Sega Hard Girls, IF will jump, dash, climb, and crawl her way to recover the lost history of the Grand Library. The game promises an “intense” combat system that allows players to change classes or gain the edge in battle with “Fever Time.”

Get the full fact sheet below. Visit the game’s official website here. View a set of screenshots at the gallery.

Severed, Ps Vita game from Drinkbox (Guacamelee) coming April 26
[ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-OeqpocjNw[/ame]
Hi everyone! This is Graham from Drinkbox Studios, creators of Tales from Space: About a Blob, Mutant Blobs Attack, and Guacamelee!.

We’ve been hard at work on Severed for the past two years, and we’re excited to announce that the game will be released on PlayStation Vita on 26th April. PS Plus members can also expect a 10% discount during the launch week. Check out our new trailer below!

The long road…

If you haven’t heard of Severed before, here’s a quick rundown: Severed is a first-person dungeon crawling adventure where you equip the carcasses of your enemies to gain their powers. You play as Sasha, a warrior who wakes up in a surreal fantasy world and sets off on a mission to find the missing members of her family.

Fighting enemies in Severed can be… disarming?

Severed was initially planned as a Spring 2015 release, but after showing an early demo of the game at PlayStation Experience in December 2014, we became inspired with a ton of new ideas and decided there was a lot more we wanted to add. It only took a whole extra year, but we’ve finally finished packing in as much as we could into Severed and we’re really happy with how it has turned out.

Original soundtrack available now

While Severed is still a few weeks away from release, the original soundtrack for the game is available for streaming and download today, right HERE. Composed by the Juno-nominated band YAMANTAKA // SONIC TITAN and special guests Pantayo, the intense progressive rock music in Severed’s OST gives a good sense of the unique atmosphere you can expect to find in Sasha’s adventure.

Oh, hi monsters. Time to DIE!

We’re huge fans of PlayStation Vita, and are really excited to finally get it into the hands of PS Vita owners. Hope you all love the game as much as we enjoyed making it!
